Sexual Assault and Pornography Charges
Mr. Peter spent a decade doing little but defending members of various priesthoods who had been charged with sexual assault. Very few of these charges resulted in convictions. The cases were won by effective cross-examination of the complainants which reduced or nullified their credibility.
Mr. Peters has also recently defended pornography charges including possession of pornography and production of pornography. Most of these charges arise from investigations started by internet investigations of the F.B.I. in the United States who then report their findings to Canadian authorities. Most of the defences to these charges involve an attack on the search warrant obtained by Canadian authorities on the basis of American investigative information.
